Detergent Free Oatmeal MP Soap Base - 10 lb Block

International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI):
Sorbitol, Sodium Cocoate, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Stearate, Glycerin, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Meal, Titanium Dioxide.

Common Name Ingredient Listing (FDA Approved):
Sorbitol, Coconut Oil, Propylene Glycol, Stearic Acid, Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Glycerin, Oatmeal, Titanium Dioxide.

Directions:
MELT: Determine amount of melt and pour soap base needed for your project. Carefully slice soap base into small pieces and place in microwave safe container. Heat on low at 30 second intervals. Stir between intervals until liquid. Handle hot soap carefully as it may burn the skin. Soap can also be melted in a double boiler.

MOLD: Stir in cosmetic color, cosmetic scent, and skin safe additives. Pour into a Crafter's Choice or Milky Way soap mold. Spritz soap surface with rubbing alcohol to remove bubbles. Allow to cool until hard.

ENJOY: Remove from mold and wrap with airtight plastic wrap. Your newly created melt and pour soap is now ready to use!

CAUTION: Melted soap is hot! For ages 15 and older.

"Excellent for Pet Soaps" COMMENTS:  This is the base I use for making some of my doggie soaps! I add a bit of Lavandin and Cedarwood essential oils, both natural anti flea/tick EOs and a bit of food grade diatomaceous earth. It really creates an excellent soap for your fur babies ???? "Great Product, Wish The Blocks Were Bigger" COMMENTS:  This product is usually very good and consistent, with even melting. The blocks are not giant, which is great for chopping them up, but we do tend to buy this in larger quantities, so we wish it was larger for that reason. Occasionally there is a batch that seems to have issues with how much oatmeal is dispersed through it, in an uneven manner. It is minor overall, however. Detergent free is a big selling point. "Great for dry skin" COMMENTS:  I've already sold out of the bars I've made and I haven't even posted them yet! I added more oatmeal to the soap so it's more like a scrubbing bar. I use this for myself - I have eczema and have noticed a decrease in the itching. I stated as much on social media and ended up selling my small stash as soon as word spread. "Detergent Free Oatmeal MP Soap Base - 10 lb Block" COMMENTS:  So easy to cut up in advance! I really like the smaller block, although a bit more per ounce, the convenience of being able to cut it up so easily makes it worth it! Detergent Free is a good selling point with customers! "Hi all! I am new to melt and pour soaps so this may seem like am dumb question to you. But...regarding your packaging...the 2 pound soap packaging is awesome as it has the grids on the bottom of the package (and thus the soap mold too) denoting each ounce. So easy to use! Does the 10 lb. Soap also have this...or is it just a block of soap I would have to measure myself by weighing? Thanks!" "Could you please clear up a couple of things? With the detergent free bases, is it best to wrap immediate after unmolding or should I let them cure a bit to get harder? Do I need to list all the ingredients given, or can I just say "Oatmeal Soap"? I'm not claiming any benefits (relieving dry skin, etc.). I'm only adding more oatmeal to the base and a very light scent (essential oil). Thanks! Staff Answer You can let them sit for a day or two, mostly if you live in a humid climate. We do recommend wrapping, it is more sanitary to do so.
