Coffee Exfoliating MP Soap

This soap smells amazing and is invigorating to use! Coffee grounds add a moderately rough texture to the soap. Gardeners and mechanics will love this exfoliating soap to remove dirt from hands. We also love it on feet! It works nicely on the body as well as long as you are gentle. The espresso fragrance contains vanilla which will cause the soap to darken over time. We think this darkening adds to this particular soap and we chose not to use a vanilla color stabilizer. 

(1) 2 lb Detergent Free White MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray

(1) 2 fl. oz Espresso Fragrance Oil 843

(1) 1/2 oz Caffeine Extract - Water Soluble

(1) Fresh Dry Coffee Grounds (not included in kit)

(1) 1 Mold Round Basic Silicone Mold 1602

(1) 1 Each Hairnets - 24 inch Disposable

Recipe Ingredients:

• 30 oz. Detergent Free White MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray
• 0.95 oz. Espresso Fragrance Oil 843
• 0.30 oz. Caffeine Extract - Water Soluble
• 0.05 oz. Fresh Dry Coffee Grounds (not included in kit)

Equipment From Home:

• (1) Microwave
• (1) Microwave-Safe Measuring Cup (32 oz.)
• (1) Soap Cutter & Cutting Mat
• (1) Spatula
• (1) Rubbing Alcohol - 99%
• (1) Plastic Wrap
• (1) Scale - Digital Display
• (1) Fresh Dry Coffee Grounds

Directions:

NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron.

1. To measuring cup, add white soap and microwave until soap has melted.
2. Add Espresso fragrance oil, caffeine extract and coffee grounds to melted soap and mix well.
3. Pour soap into mold cavities stirring between each pour.
4. Allow soap to harden.
5. Remove soap from mold and wrap in plastic wrap.
6. Label accordingly.

To Use: Lather onto wet skin and rinse off.
