Chocolate Pie MP Soap

Yield: 3 Bars  |  Est. Time: 1 Hour  |  Level: Moderate

About This Recipe:
These fun soaps look just like the marshmallow filled graham cracker treats that are covered in chocolate and perfect for a midnight snack. We used Debbie May’s Best Soap Frosting recipe to make the marshmallow-like filling and fragranced the soap with Campfire S'Mores fragrance oil. All the fun, without any of the calories, these soaps
are the perfect sweet smelling, soapy treat.

Soap Cookie
  1. To a plastic beaker, mix .3 oz. Campfire S'mores fragrance oil and .3 oz. vanilla color stabilizer and let sit for at least two minutes.
  2. To mix & pour funnel, add cut up oatmeal soap and heat in microwave in 30 second increments until melted.
  3. To a second plastic beaker, add 0.20 oz. of glycerin and 1 scoop of matte dark brown oxide pigment powder.Using a mini-mixer, blend well.
  4. Add fragrance mixture to oatmeal soap and stir well. Add color a little at a time, until desired shade is achieved.
  5. Place silicone mold on baking sheet. Place baking sheet on scale and tare to zero.
  6. Pour 1.15 oz. of oatmeal soap into each of the mold cavities. Let harden, remove from mold and set aside.
Filling:
  1. To the plastic beaker, mix .1 oz of Campfire S'mores fragrance and .1 oz of vanilla color stabilizer and let sit for a least 2 min.
  2. To a microwave-safe mixing bowl, add 4 oz. cut up white soap. Heat in microwave until melted.
  3. Add 4 oz. foaming bath whip and gently stir.
  4. To measuring cup, add .5 oz glycerin and .75 oz. palm kernel flakes. Heat in microwave until melted.
  5. Using hand mixer, whip soap mixture and slowly add glycerin and palm kernel flake mixture while continuing to whip.
  6. Once product starts to thicken slightly, add remaining fragrance oil mixture and whip until incorporated.
  7. Place in refrigerator for 30 minutes to one hour to thicken, if necessary. Remove and whip until product is thick and resembles frosting.
  8. Using a pastry bag or decorator pro with desired decorating tip, fill with soap frosting. Pipe mixture onto three of the round oatmeal soaps and top each with a second oatmeal soap to create a sandwich.
  9. Should your frosting start to harden up a bit before you have finished piping, heat and whip slightly with hand mixer to soften it.
  10. There is enough frosting to do 2 sets of cookies. Cover bowl with plastic wrap if not used right away.
  11. Let product sit for 24 hours.
Chocolate Coating;
  1. Place soap sandwiches onto a cooling rack. Place the cooling rack on top of the jelly roll pan.
  2. To a mix & pour funnel pitcher, add cut up 6 oz. clear soap and heat in microwave in 30 second increments until melted.
  3. To a plastic beaker, pour 0.20 oz. of glycerin. Add 1 scoop of dark brown pigment powder and blend well using a mini-mixer. Add color to clear soap and stir.
  4. When soap has cooled to 120°F, slowly pour over the three soaps creating the chocolate coating.
  5. After the coating has cooled, trim the excess off the bottom of each soap using a soap cutter.
  6. Scape the extra soap from jelly roll pan and reheat in the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds. Pour over the sandwiches.  To get a nice thick covering repeat one more time.
  7. Package and label accordingly. Be sure to add warning: "SOAP. DO NOT EAT".
  8. NOTE: If kit was purchased, there will be enough product left over to make a second set of 3 soap bars. There will also be enough soap frosting left for the filling.
To Use: Lather onto wet skin and rinse off with warm water.
