What is Micellar Water? What can you expect to find in it?

Bioderma Sensibio H2O – Micellar Water: It was created in 1991 and is touted as the first and only dermatological micellar water perfectly biologically compatible with the skin.

Oil-In-Water (O/W): Oil suspended in water or aqueous phase (o/w) is a type of emulsion..

Propylene glycol: It is also known as 1,2-propanediol, attracts water and functions as a humectant. Propylene glycol is one of the most widely used ingredients in cosmetics and personal care products, where it also serves as a viscosity decreasing agent, solvent and fragrance ingredient.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine: It is mainly as surfactants in cosmetic and personal care products. Surfactants help to clean skin and hair by helping water to mix with oil and dirt so that they can be rinsed away.

Sorbic Acid: This occurs naturally as para-sorbic acid in berries of the mountain ash tree, Sorbus aucuparia, Rosaceae. It can also be synthesized by various processes. It has a broad spectrum of fungistatic activity but is less active against bacteria. It is commonly combined with Sodium Benzoate for use as a preservative.
