Pure Cocoa Butter which is thought to reduce skin dryness and work wonders for the skin. Our Natural Cocoa Butter is unrefined which yields a natural tan color and cocoa (chocolate-like) odor. Use in a variety of homemade recipes including shampoo bars, bath fizzies, soap, lip balm, lotion and more!

Cocoa Butter
Directions:
DIRECTIONS: Slowly stir melted product into the oil portion of your formulation. Common use levels are lip products 5-100%, cold process soap 3-6%, lotions and creams 3-5%. Can be applied directly to the skin.
TIPS: The average melting point for the butter is 100°F. Butters provide moisturizing properties to products. To minimize greasy after feel we recommend blending with 1-3% cornstarch or isopropyl myristate. Test your final product to insure optimal performance.
STORAGE: Store in an airtight, cool, dark location. When stored properly, best used within 1 year from date of purchase.
CAUTION: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Other reviews complained of lack of smell. That was not my experience.

COMMENTS: This natural cocoa butter smells amazing as soon as you open the package the smell of sweet chocolate comes out it's absolutely delicious careful though you can't eat this product but it definitely works amazing when you cut into it and melt it down you can incorporate it into practically anyting I use it primarily for my cold process hot process and melt and pour soaps as well as lotions that I make it leaves everything feeling so smooth and smelling so delicious naturally which is what's so wonderful about it I highly recommend this product to others!

COMMENTS: I tried this coco butter on a brand new recipe - so grain of salt - it smells like fresh milk chocolate, which is amazing. With such a hard butter, I thought my soap would harden really quickly. Life happened, so I didn't get to unmold for two days. I was really concerned about breaking the wire on my cutter. But it was still so soft on the bottom that I had to reform it a little on the corners. Probably should have left it another day or two, but impatience won out. The soap looks like it will be good once it hardens more. Can't wait to try it out :)

"STRONG COCOA BUTTER SCENT IN MY LOTION" |

COMMENTS: I purchased this as part of the sample pack. I used this in some handmade lotion that I made for the first time. It was a thick lotion that I made. So I used this in the recipe along with Shea Butter. This butter had a very strong scent to it when it was melted along with the Shea Butter and Emulsifying Wax. I let the lotion cool so I could add my preservative and fragrance. Whilst cooling, all I could smell was this cocoa butter. Once I added my fragrance and let the lotion for a day or two, the smell had gone and I could smell the Lavender Essential Oil I used for fragrance.

COMMENTS: I am new to the soap making world. Initially, my soaps were semi-soft. They remained in the silicone mold from a few days to a week to get firm enough to remove. After adding cocoa butter and decreasing the amount of castor oil, my cold process soap releases from the silicone mold quite easily in 24 to 36 hours. Hurray! Once I made a soap containing 20 percent cocoa butter. The soap was very hard and smelled of chocolate. I usually add cocoa butter at five to ten percent of the fats.

COMMENTS: I have been using cocoa butter for many years and found a easy way to cut it. Use a wavy soap cutter on a paper grocery bag or cutting board. The wavy cutter is much easier and safer than any knife. Do small portions at a time, whittle away starting at the edges. Of course not really necessary if it is a 1 pound amount, but works great in a 3 or 5 pounds size

COMMENTS: I use this in a cp I call Chocolate Twist, as well as melt and pour. Either way it turns out well and smells sooo much like chocolate. I like the fact that it comes in chunks, but it did take me a while to figure out how to cut or slice. I now take a small paring knife or vegetable peeler and it works. You do need to have it on a paper towel or something similar in order to avoid making a mess however. Scent is delicious, it does take a bit of time to melt in microwave-be patient, it will melt though. I have also used it as the scent in my sugar scrubs...and that's a good one to-gives the necessary moisture to combine with the sugar,gives a good color and heavenly scent to them.

COMMENTS: I love working with the natural cocoa -- it adds an amazing chocolate scent to my body butters. Some of my customers really like that the body butters with coconut have a firmer consistency (more like a lotion bar than a creamy butter), then melt quickly once on the skin.

COMMENTS: Its the best skin moisturizer. I use this in my lotions, creams, body butters, and lip balms. Would like to try it in CPOP soaps as well but haven't tried it yet. This is a pretty good price, a great quality product, but even hough it is natural it does not smell quite as chocolatey as other cocoa butters I have tried. Not sure why. I love this product because its in the middle between rich dark chocolate and white chocolate scent.

COMMENTS: I have tried Natural Cocoa Butter products from other suppliers, but none have compared to this brand. It always looks and smells fresh (not too dry or crumbly) and you can't beat the price! I love how the natural Cocoa smell effortlessly and naturally scents my products; even soaps after going through the HP saponification process. Not to mention the smell permeates my home as the butter melts in the crock pot. One of my favorite body butter recipes consists of this Cocoa Butter, unrefined Shea butter, and extra virgin coconut oil. The combination of smells is awesome, in addition to the fact that its super moisturizing. Can't wait to try this in lip balm next!

COMMENTS: This is just awesome cocoa butter. I use this in small quantities (5%) of CP soap for a little protective kick to skin and in return it gifts the bar with a certain hardness that becomes silky over time. A perfect skin nourishing additive. I have used both deodorized and all natural, and both are fantastic. This natural one is good for smoky, chocolate or coffee scents. Don't use with citrus or other bright scents, as the natural scent of cocoa from this butter comes through just enough to muddle the scents. Highly recommend.

COMMENTS: This natural cocoa butter comes in a nice resealable l lb. bag...which is very convenient. It has a wonderful cocoa smell that makes ones products smell like dessert! It melts nicely and mixes well in my body butters, balms, etc. The price is reasonable and it is a quality product which I will be buying again when my supply runs low! I only wish it could come in pellets like beeswax, but I know that is not possible. It is still easier to deal with cutting some off and getting it from the bag, then it is trying to chop it out of a jar or a big container as I have from some other companies.

COMMENTS: I received this cocoa butter in the mail last week. I was ecstatic when I opened the bag and was prompted with that beautiful aroma. I shipped it to my work and had to be careful to remember to take it home. My coworkers have been known to accidentally help them selves to a big bite of my soaps thinking they are chocolate.
This time when I offered to let them take a whiff of this wondrous smell legitimately asked if he could use it to put on his toast. I had to explain to him my cocoa butter is not for eating but for soap and lotion making. I then reminded him he owed me for that bar of soap he took a bite out of thinking it was a chocolate candy.
It doesn't come in one big bulky block but instead about two to three inch chips which makes for easy measuring.
The price is unbeatable by far and the quality is better than any other source you can find especially for the price. The butter comes in a sturdy thick resealable plastic bag with easy opening. I love that I have a great reliable source for my cocoa butter needs.

COMMENTS: I use the natural cocoa butter in soaps I'm not using essential oils in as it gives a nice warm scent like oatsy or beeswax which comes through some in the finished product but not strong. It is soft and melts in your hands. I use the room temperature soap method and with the stick blender it does dissolve along with the other oils and I didn't have to heat it otherwise. I didn't notice any different color with using it in the soaps. Overall I really like this product.

COMMENTS: I had purchased the sampler kit first to try the butter because I was afraid the natural butter might be overpowering in its smell,but I was pleasantly surprised to find the natural is what I eventually liked and ordered more of it. It has a clean feel and a sophisticated chocolate smell and smells beautiful in lotions and creams.In small amounts this butter can take EO and FO well and the natual smells adds to it in a faint baseline way. COMMENTS: As soon as I took one sniff of this, I was in love. Smells like a nice light creamy chocolate. I made lip balm with this and some of the coffee butter, and I must say...YUM! Smells like a mocha! Very easy to measure out too, because it comes in small chunks. I'll definitely be buying more of this!

COMMENTS: I have very sensitive, dry skin and used to hate soaking in the bath because of the dryness and irritation afterwords. A friend introduced me to bath bombs so I decided to try making them myself. I chose the unrefined cocoa butter for it's natural state, not knowing what to expect. It has a great texture, melts easily in the tub, and leaves my skin so moisturized that I don't even need lotion after soaking with a cocoa butter-filled bath bomb. I didn't expect the chocolate-y smell but couldn't imagine using the refined and not having it. I cut off small chunks and chop it up in a mini food processor and then toss it into my bath bomb dry ingredients.

COMMENTS: This cocoa butter is the reason I started making body butters! The natural aroma is fantastic and is still fragrant on the skin for hours after application. It melts easily and blends easily with other butters and oils. Because it's a hard butter, it is great for winter skin. Also since it melts immediately upon contact with the skin, it's soothing but not smothering for summer skin that has been out in the sun.

COMMENTS: Cocoa Butter is an excellent product for lip balm, soap, and bath bombs! I will continue to purchase my cocoa butter from WSSP. Their price is extremely comparable to other places especially when you don't need to pay for shipping. This product, when purchased in a 5 lb. batch comes in a plastic bag in large chunks. I plan to store mine in a bucket instead of the bag.

COMMENTS: I love how this coco butter is packaged in small chunks. It is so much easier to measure out the amount you need. No struggling with cutting the huge disk of coco butter anymore. COMMENTS: I mainly use this in my soap, but have used it in my hand cream. I really like it. I take few minutes when I first get the package to cut it into smaller pieces, so when I measure, I just have to reach in the bag and grab a few pieces. I has a nice coco smell, but not overpowering, and I don't notice it at all after I've added my EO or FO.

COMMENTS: This stuff right here smells good enough to eat. When I opened the pack and inhaled the yummy aroma of coco butter, I felt like I had just taken in a whole pound of chocolate cake. But better than the aroma is how wonderful it makes my dry skin feel... Add in some castor oil, mango butter, and shea butter and your skin will come back alive!

COMMENTS: This is really good stuff! I was blown away by the chocolate odor when I opened the package; the folks around here all wanted to taste it. The aroma was sweet and chocolatey, with buttery nuances. It gave great depth of fragrance to my coffee butter and in an unscented butter people really identified with the cocoa butter scent as a "natural" smell. Also, the product was firm at room temperature, not grainy when melted and the color was a beautiful golden tan. It performed well in my hot process soap; it was used with the oils.

COMMENTS: This cocoa butter is naturally scented and just lovely in color. It is very smooth and creamy and it melts wonderfully on skin. I use it in a whipped body butter and there is no need for any scents to be added, the chocolate smell is already so pleasant. The natural unrefined quality of this butter makes it all the more beneficial to your skin, and it is not at all grainy.

COMMENTS: I have purchased Cocoa butter from other vendors at a much higher price. This is as high quality a product but at a much better price. I choose to get the Cocoa butter that still has some of the scent and I tend to make a lot of products that include hints of chocolate and vanilla.

COMMENTS: I love this cocoa butter! It smells absolutely wonderful! I have used it in many products, and they always come out great. I especially love it in my lip balms. Combined with the other oils/butters it gives it such a nice natural scent. Or use it at a higher percentage for a real chocolaty experience!

COMMENTS: I was so happy with the quality of this Cocoa butter! It melts quickly and evenly and leaves behind a fragrance that is divine! I used this to add to a diaper balm and it smelled so wonderful that I didn't want to add any essential oils. I did add some TTO (which I do not like the smell) and this was fragrant enough to cover that up, thankfully. I will definitely be buying the Cocoa Butter here from now on!
