"Amazing in deodorant" COMMENTS:  I use this product exclusively in my organic deodorant instead of baking soda. I have been purchasing the same ingredient from other sources and wow am I happy I switched! Great consistency, bulk size bag, finished product comes out the same every batch. "The perfect ingredient for deodorant!" COMMENTS:  This stuff is perfect for my deodorant. It has no scent, the powder adds to a better, drier texture to the deodorant, and well...it works! Just be careful when scooping it out of the bag--it's very easy to spill because it's powder. "Great for deodorant" COMMENTS:  I'm using it as the main active ingredient on a deodorant formula and it works! It will probably be even more efficient at BO control in combination with zinc ricinoleate. Love the price of this material. "Would this product be able to be used to replace magnesium chloride ? I want to make an anhydrous magnesium butter so I wouldn't be able to go the normal route of dissolving mag chl in water. I was hoping this could work as a magnesium replacement since it can be dissolved in oil. Does magnesium hydroxide have the same benefits? Staff Answer We do not state that any of our products are food safe. We are not a food packaging facility. Per the manufacturer, this ingredient is safe for cosmetics but the majority of their customers are industrial which is why their SDS states that as the use. "It says that Magnesium Hydroxide is a Ph adjuster but in what exactly? Can it be used in CP shampoo to adjust the Ph level for that or is it more for something like a Syndet shampoo bar? I've read to use citric acid in CP shampoo to adjust the Ph though. Thanks for your help." Staff Answer This can be used in lotions, deodorants, shaving cream and other makeup products. It can be used to neutralize acids with a pH less than 7.0. It will not increase the pH further in products with a pH greater than 7.0.
