Directions:

DIRECTIONS: Incorporate into formula, amount as desired. Common use levels are 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon per pound of base. Test your final product to insure optimal performance and no staining. Not recommended for leave on products.

STORAGE: Store in an airtight, cool, dark location. When stored properly, best used within 1 year from date of purchase. Keep out of reach from children and pets.

"Rosemary Powder" COMMENTS:  I combined the powder with melted oil and mixed well before adding to my HP soap. Soap came out of the mold in a dark mossy-olive green color with very tiny dark speckles - very pretty even though I had hoped the color would be more bright olive green like the powder. It's possible I used too much powder in my first attempt. I love Crafter's Choice powders, but I would like to see more information on how to use the powders... like which carrier oils work well with this powder and about how much powder I should be using depending on what I'm making (in general). "I really like the rosemary powder for soaps" COMMENTS:  I like to add the rosemary powder to the water before lye is added. It is a little clumpy and needs to be stirred although rosemary particles remain and if you wants it clearer could strain prior to adding lye. I use it in my Camper's delight soap that repels bugs and it smells great and covers up the neem oil scent quite well. I also add rosemary e.o. and find that the rosemary powder gives an additional dimension. It adds a mossy green color as well. "tingles and works" COMMENTS:  OK, your gonna think I am crazy, but I put this in conditioner! It was suspended in the conditioner and was very pretty. It did not add much smell to the product, not as much as I would have liked anyway so I added a bit of complimentary scent. But when you use the conditioner and rinsed it out - boy, it was nice. The scalp lightly tingled for about 1/2 hour. My scalp felt so nice - it was like getting a scalp rub. "Nice product" COMMENTS:  I purchased this powder and was so surprised at the amount of product I got. I wanted to experiment with colors in cp, and thought this would be a nice color to try. I have used this in making face soaps, shaving soap and soap in general. I also used it to color a shampoo bar. I've had no issues and the color is really nice - a muted green color in cp. "I made beautiful soap with this powder a few months ago, the powder left pretty green specks in the soap. I used the powder again today. The powder in today's soap turned orange. There are orange spots throughout the soap, is this because the powder is old? I bought it a few months back and this is only the second time I've used it. It is hp soap." Staff Answer You did not say if you used the same recipe as the first soap. The rosemary powder should have at least a 12 month shelf life. This may be a reaction to a different oil or fragrance that was used. There can be many variables. In my opinion, Rosemary powder helps tones the skin and texture, while reliving dryness. Rosemary strengthens capillaries and is good to use on aging skin. Hello, WSP states that this product is "all natural". However there is a chance that this powder could have been treated with a pesticide or surrounded by crops that were treated (as most of the fruits and vegetables that we consume in America are). Treating with pesticides help to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria and does not take away from the product being natural. Thank you for your question.
