Gardener's Pumice Scrub Recipe

About This Recipe:
After a long day of weeding and planting, any gardener can appreciate an easy way to remove dirt and grime on their hardworking hands. Lemongrass Essential Oil is thought to have antimicrobial and antiseptic powers. Along with the exfoliating properties of the pumice powder this liquid soap will do the trick.

(1) 2 oz Bubble Up
(1) 2 oz Pumice Powder
(1) 2 oz Shea 50
(1) 2 fl. oz Lemongrass EO - Certified 100% Pure 138
(1) 2 oz Preservative - Benzoic Acid +2 PF
(1) 5 ml Matte Woodland Green Liquid Pigment
(7) 1 Bottle 06 oz Natural LDPE Boston Round Bottle - 24/410
(7) 1 Piece 24/410 Natural Ribbed SADDLE Pump Top
(1) 1 Each Hairnets - 24 inch Disposable

Recipe Ingredients:
Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 43.50 oz. Liquid Suspension Soap Base
• 1 oz. Bubble Up
• 2 oz. Pumice Powder
• 1 oz. Shea 50
• 3 ml(s) Lemongrass EO - Certified 100% Pure 138
• 0.30 oz. Preservative - Benzoic Acid +2 PF
• 4-5 Drop(s) Matte Woodland Green Liquid Pigment
• 7 Piece(s) 06 oz Natural LDPE Boston Round Bottle - 24/410
• 7 Piece(s) 24/410 Natural Ribbed SADDLE Pump Top


Equipment From Home:
• (1) Microwave
• (1) Microwave-Safe Measuring Cup (64 oz.)
• (1) Measuring Spoons
• (1) Mixing Spoon
• (1) Scissors
• (1) Wire Whisk

Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace. 
  1. To a microwave safe container, add Liquid Suspension Base. Heat in a microwave for about 20 seconds - just until warm.
  2. Add Shea 50 and mix well.
  3. Add Pumice Powder and carefully blend in using a wire whisk.
  4. Add Bubble Up, preservative and Lemongrass Essential Oil. Gently stir.  Lemongrass Essential Oil may change product color over time. This is a natural occurrance. 
  5. Add a few drops of color, if desired.  
  6. Fill each bottle to about 6.5-6.75 oz. by weight. Product should cool completely before capping bottles.
  7. When ready, trim dip tubes on pumps so they fit the length of the bottle and apply to bottles.
  8. Label product accordingly.
To Use: Apply onto wet hands and gently scrub to remove dirt and grime. Rinse with warm water.
