Scrubby Kitchen Hand Soap and Hand Lotion Set Recipe

About This Recipe:

This set will keep your hands feeling soft and moisturized. The liquid soap contains Soy Scrub for a mild exfoliant and alfalfa powder contains Vitamins C, D, E and K. The lotion contains Evening Primrose, which is a source of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) along with the soothing properties of Aloe Vera Oil.

(1) 16 oz Liquid Suspension Soap Base

(1) 2 oz Alfalfa Powder

(1) 2 oz Soy Scrub

(1) 2 fl. oz Lemon Seed & Parsley Fragrance Oil 577

(1) 16 oz Moisturizing Lotion with Evening Primrose

(1) 2 oz Aloe Vera Oil - Clear

(2) 1 Each Mix & Pour Funnel Pitcher

(1) 1 Each Hairnets - 24 inch Disposable

(2) 1 Piece Droppers (Pipettes) - Plastic

(4) 1 Bottle 08 oz Amber Boston Round Plastic Bottle - 24/410

(2) 1 Piece 24/410 Black Ribbed SADDLE Pump Top

(2) 1 Piece 24/410 Black Smooth Disc Top Cap

Recipe Ingredients:

• 16 oz. Liquid Suspension Soap Base
• 1/2 Teaspoon(s) Alfalfa Powder
• 1/2 Teaspoon(s) Soy Scrub
• 0.50 oz. Lemon Seed & Parsley Fragrance Oil 577
• 16 oz. Moisturizing Lotion with Evening Primrose
• 0.25 oz. Aloe Vera Oil - Clear

Equipment From Home:

• (1) Microwave
• (1) Wire Whisk
• (1) Scissors
• (1) Measuring Spoons
• (1) Spatulas

Directions:

NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.

1. FOR SOAP: To Mix & Pour Funnel Pitcher, empty entire contents of Liquid Suspension Soap Base. Place in microwave and heat for 40 seconds. Gently stir.
2. Add 1/2 tsp. Alfalfa Powder and mix well with a wire whisk to incorporate. 
3. Add 1/2 tsp. Soy Scrub and blend in.
4. Add 0.25 oz. Lemon Seed & Parsley Fragrance Oil and gently stir. 
5. Pour liquid soap into two of the 8 oz. bottles. Fill to the shoulder of each bottle, then divide the remaining product between the two bottles.  
6. Trim dip tubes to fit length of bottles. Set aside until product has cooled completely before placing on bottles.  
7. Label product accordingly.

To Use: Pump liquid soap into wet hands and rub together. Rinse with warm water.

1. FOR LOTION: Empty contents of 16 oz. jar of Moisturizing Lotion with Evening Primrose into second funnel pitcher. Heat in microwave for 40 seconds or until lotion has thinned. Remove and stir. 
2. Add 0.25 oz. Aloe Vera Oil and 0.25 oz. Lemon Seed & Parsley Fragrance Oil. Blend well to incorporate.
3. Fill remaining two bottles with lotion. Tip: hold funnel pitcher above the bottle opening and let gently pour into bottle. If lotion is too thick to pour, add lotion to a piping bag or plastic food bag. Cut off tip and fill bottles.
4. Let product cool completely before placing disc tops on bottles.
5. Label product accordingly.

To Use: Massage into skin as needed.
