Cider Lane Bath Fizzies Recipe

About This Recipe:

These bath fizzies will leave your skin feeling soft and smooth because of the added oils and butters, but not greasy due to the Polysorbate 80. Add the painted apple to tie together the fragrance with hints of sugar, vanilla bean and apple cider. These are sure to be a great addition to your fall lineup!

(1) 2.5 gm Bag Crimson Red Wine Mica Powder

(1) 2.5 gm Bag Martini Olive Green Mica Powder

(1) 2.5 gm Bag Shimmering Light Gold Mica Powder

(1) 10 Set Bath Bomb Ball Mold - 1.75" diameter (2 pc set)

(2) 1 Piece Beaker - Natural Polypropylene

(2) 1 Piece Droppers (Pipettes) - Plastic

(3) 1 Piece Scoop - 0.15 ml (Micro Size)

Recipe Ingredients:

• 9 oz. Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)
• 4.50 oz. Citric Acid Powder
• 0.50 oz. Polysorbate 80
• 0.75 oz. Shea Butter - Ultra Refined
• 0.75 oz. Avocado Oil
• 4 ml(s) Cider Lane* Fragrance Oil 868
• 4 ml(s) Vanilla Color Stabilizer - CP Soap
• 3 .15 ml Scoop Crimson Red Wine Mica Powder
• 3 .15 ml Scoop Martini Olive Green Mica Powder
• 3 .15 ml Scoop Shimmering Light Gold Mica Powder

Equipment From Home:

• (1) Mixing Bowl
• (1) 1 Each Scale - Digital Display (Professional)
• (1) Wire Whisk
• (2) Child's Paintbrush
• (1) Bubble Wrap or Egg Carton

Directions:

NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.

1. To large mixing bowl, add baking soda, citric acid, and light gold mica. Mix together with a wire whisk breaking up any clumps.
2. In plastic beaker, add avocado oil and shea butter. Heat in microwave in 30 second increments until butter is melted. Add polysorbate 80 and mix.
3. In another plastic beaker, combine fragrance and vanilla color stabilizer. Mix and allow to sit for two minutes, then combine with oil/butter mixture. 
4. Pour oil/butter mixture into powders and begin kneading.
5. Once mixture is well blended, mound both halves of bath bomb mold and push halves together. Suspend mold on Guest Size Loaf Mold. Repeat until all bath bombs are made.
6. Let fizzies harden and dry for 24-48 hours. 
7. Remove fizzies from molds.
8. To clean beaker, add red mica and to second clean beaker, add green mica. Add a splash of rubbing alcohol and mix with paint brush until it is the consistency of paint. Paint apple design onto bath bombs and allow "paint" to dry.
9. Package and label accordingly.

To Use: Drop into warm bath water. Soak in tub.
