About This Recipe:
Get started with lotion making with this simple recipe! In this recipe we use Crafter's Choice Basic Lotion Base and enhance it with fragrance. This recipe can easily be customized by swapping out our chosen fragrance for the scent of your choice. If making a substitution, choose a fragrance without vanilla content and with an IFRA maximum of 2% or greater. There are hundreds of fragrance options to make this lotion your favorite!

(1) 2 fl. oz Sweet Rain Fragrance Oil 561

(1) 1 Each Hairnets - 24 inch Disposable

(1) 1 Piece Droppers (Pipettes) - Plastic

(4) 1 Jars 04 oz Clear Basic Plastic Jar - 58/400

(4) 1 Piece 58/400 Black Straight Top Cap - F217 Liner


Recipe Ingredients:
Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 16 oz. Basic Lotion Base
• 10 ml(s) Sweet Rain Fragrance Oil 561


Equipment From Home:
• (1) Microwave
• (1) Microwave-Safe Measuring Cup (16 oz.or larger)
• (1) Spatula
• (1) Scale - Digital Display

Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.
  1. Empty the contents of one 16 oz. jar of Basic Lotion Base into a microwave-safe measuring cup.
  2. Microwave the lotion for 30 seconds.
  3. Add 10 ml of Sweet Rain Fragrance Oil to the warmed lotion using a plastic dropper to measure.
  4. Stir with a spatula until the fragrance is incorporated.
  5. Scoop 3.75 ounces of lotion by weight into each jar.
  6. Set aside to cool completely then apply lids.
  7. Label product accordingly.
To Use: Massage lotion into skin as desired.
