About This Recipe:
The Shea Butter and Coconut Oil in this recipe will help to soothe dry skin patches on babies' skin. The addition of Aloe Vera Powder also adds moisturizing and soothing properties to the product.


Shopping List:
(1) 1 lb Coconut Oil - 76º Melt

(1) 1 lb Shea Butter - Ultra Refined

(1) 1/2 oz Aloe Vera Powder - 100X

(1) 1/2 oz Vitamin E Natural T-50

(1) 1 Each Hairnets - 24 inch Disposable

(1) 12 Bottle 02 oz Natural Malibu Tottle Bottle - 22/400 1.5"

(1) 12 Piece 22/400 White Flip Top Cap - 1.5 inch


Recipe Ingredients:
Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 10 oz. Coconut Oil - 76º Melt
• 8 oz. Shea Butter - Ultra Refined
• 0.50 oz. Aloe Vera Powder - 100X
• 0.40 oz. Vitamin E Natural T-50


Equipment From Home:
• (1) Microwave-Safe Measuring Cup (32 oz.)
• (1) Microwave
• (1) Hand Mixer
• (1) Piping Bag or Zip Close Bag
• (1) Scissors
• (1) Container to prop up bottles

Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.
  1. Add Coconut Oil to a large microwave-safe bowl. Heat in microwave until completely melted. Add Shea Butter and stir until butter has melted.
  2. Blend with hand mixer. If product is very thin and warm, place in refrigerator for about 30 minutes to thicken up.
  3. Add Aloe Vera Powder and Vitamin E and mix in with spatula.
  4. Blend with hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
  5. Fill a piping bag or zip close bag with product. Cut small end off of bag to pipe lotion.
  6.  Fill each bottle to 1.40 oz. by weight. Place in cup or shoe box so bottles stand upright. Once lotion has completely cooled, apply caps.
  7. Label product accordingly.
To Use: Apply to dry skin patches and gently rub in. Use as needed.
