About This Recipe:
This emulsified sugar scrub recipe uses high-end ingredients for a lemony fresh scrub. Non-comedogenic oils and butters are used in the recipe and it's scented with lemon essential oil. The finished scrub stays thick and does not separate.

Recipe Ingredients:
Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 31.65 oz. Sugar - White Granulated Sugar
• 7.45 oz. Sweet Almond Oil - Refined
• 3.35 oz. Shea Butter - Ultra Refined
• 1.45 oz. Stearic Acid
• 1.45 oz. Emulsifying Wax - Soft & Silky
• 0.95 oz. Lemon EO - Certified 100% Pure 140
• 0.25 oz. Preservative - Water Soluble PF
• 1/4 Teaspoon(s) Golden Pineapple Yellow Mica Powder
• 1.45 oz. Camelina Oil
• 0.05 oz. Rosemary Oleoresin Extract (ROE)

• (1) Sifter

Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.
  1. To metal pot, add sweet almond oil, shea butter, camelina oil, stearic acid, and emulsifying wax and heat on hot plate or stovetop until the butter begins to melt.
  2. Remove from heat and stir until all ingredients are liquid.
  3. Mix with hand mixer for five minutes. Allow liquids to cool to 122ºF. (Place in refrigerator for faster cooling.)
  4. Add fragrance, preservative, ROE and yellow mica to liquids. Whip with hand mixer and allow product to cool to 80ºF.
  5. Pour into large bowl and slowly add sifted sugar. Mix with hand mixer.
  6. Fill jars each with 7.60 oz. by weight. Twist on tops.
  7. Label accordingly.
To Use: Gently scrub on wet skin and rinse.
