About This Recipe:
This recipe creates red soap pops in a delicious scenting cherry aroma. We love soap pop recipes for summer craft shows!


Shopping List:
(1) 2 lb Basic Clear MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray

(1) 2 fl. oz Black Cherry - EO & FO Blend 453

(1) 2 oz Vanilla Color Stabilizer - MP Soap

(1) 1 Block Stained Glass Santa Red Soap Color Blocks

(10) 1 Piece Soap Pop Sticks

(1) 1 Mold Soap Popsicle Silicone Mold 1617

(1) 1 Piece Beaker - Natural Polypropylene

(1) 1 Each Hairnets - 24 inch Disposable


Recipe Ingredients:
Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 32 oz. Basic Clear MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray
• 0.90 oz. Black Cherry - EO & FO Blend 453
• 0.20 oz. Vanilla Color Stabilizer - MP Soap
• 0.20 oz. Stained Glass Santa Red Soap Color Blocks


Equipment From Home:
• (1) Soap Cutter & Cutting Mat
• (1) Scale - Digital Display
• (1) Spatula
• (1) Microwave
• (1) Microwave-Safe Measuring Cup (32 oz.)
• (1) Thermometer - Digital
• (1) Spray Bottle with Rubbing Alcohol - 99%
• (1) Plastic Wrap

Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron.
  1. Melt 16 oz. soap and 0.10 oz. color block in the microwave until melted.
  2. Add 0.45 oz. fragrance to soap and mix well. Allow soap to cool to 120ºF.
  3. Pour evenly between 5 mold cavities and spritz soap with rubbing alcohol. (It may be slightly short of the top of the cavities.)
  4. Place lid on mold and push pop sticks into soap. Allow soap to cool.
  5. Remove soap from molds.
  6. Repeat to make five more bars.
  7. Wrap soap in plastic wrap.
  8. Label accordingly. Be sure to add to label  “DO NOT EAT. REMOVE STICK BEFORE USING”.
To Use: Lather onto wet skin and rinse off.
