About This Recipe:
When you bathe with these bath fizzies, you will feel like you are in the middle of an apple orchard. With clamshells, no additional packaging is necessary. This is a great addition to your fall product line.

(1) 1 lb Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)

(1) 1 lb Citric Acid Powder

(1) 2 oz White Kaolin Clay

(1) 2 oz Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate Coarse SLSa

(1) 2 oz Shea 50

(1) 2 fl. oz Apple Orchard Fragrance Oil 273

(1) 2.5 gm Bag Bath Bomb Red Powder Color

(1) 2.5 gm Bag Bath Bomb Blue Powder Color

(1) 2.5 gm Bag Bath Bomb Yellow Powder Color

(1) 1 Each Hairnets - 24 inch Disposable

(2) 1 Piece Beaker - Natural Polypropylene

(2) 1 Piece Droppers (Pipettes) - Plastic

(3) 1 Piece Scoop - 0.15 ml (Micro Size)

(6) 1 Piece Plain Oval Clamshell with Hinged Lid


Recipe Ingredients:
Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 16 oz. Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)
• 8 oz. Citric Acid Powder
• 1 oz. White Kaolin Clay
• 0.50 oz. Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate Coarse SLSa
• 0.40 oz. Shea 50
• 0.50 oz. Apple Orchard Fragrance Oil 273
• 3 .15 ml Scoop Bath Bomb Red Powder Color
• 1 .15 ml Scoop Bath Bomb Blue Powder Color
• 4 .15 ml Scoop Bath Bomb Yellow Powder Color


Equipment From Home:
• (1) 3 Large Bowls
• (1) 1 Each Scale - Digital Display (Professional)
• (1) Microwave

Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.
  1. When working with lathanol powder, a face mask is recommended.
  2. To large mixing bowl, add baking soda, citric acid, kaolin clay and lathanol powder. Mix well with gloved hands, breaking up any clumps.
  3. To one beaker, add Shea 50 and heat in microwave for 10 seconds.
  4. To second beaker, add fragrance oil.
  5. Drizzle both beakers of liquid into the dry mixture. Immediately, mix well with gloved hands.  
  6. Divide mixture between 3 bowls, each weighing approximately 8.55 oz.
  7. To one bowl add 3 mini scoops of red powder. Mix well.
  8. To second bowl, add 2 mini scoops of yellow powder. Mix well. 
  9. To third bowl, add 2 mini scoops of yellow and 1 mini scoop of blue.
  10. Fill each clamshell with mixtures.
  11. Place backs on clamshell.
  12. Label product accordingly.
To Use: Remove bath fizzy from mold and add all or half to tub of warm water.
