About This Recipe:
These simple soap bars show how using white or clear bases affect both the look and color of your soap. These fresh green oval soaps are fragranced in Cucumber & Fresh Mint Fragrance Oil which is a light, refreshing blend of cool, watery cucumber and fresh spearmint. 


Shopping List:
(1) 2 lb Basic Clear MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray
(1) 2 lb Basic White MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray
(1) 2 fl. oz Cucumber & Fresh Mint Fragrance Oil 409
(1) 5 ml Stained Glass Forest Green Liquid Color
(1) 1 Mold Oval Basic Silicone Mold 1606


Recipe Ingredients:
Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 20 oz. Basic Clear MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray
• 20 oz. Basic White MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray
• 0.60 oz. Cucumber & Fresh Mint Fragrance Oil 409
• 33 Drop(s) Stained Glass Forest Green Liquid Color


Equipment From Home:
• (1) Microwave-Safe Measuring Cup (32 oz.)
• (1) Microwave
• (1) Scale - Digital Display
• (1) Soap Cutter & Cutting Mat
• (1) Spatula or Mixing Spoon
• (1) Spray Bottle with Rubbing Alcohol

Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron, workspace and sanitized equipment.
  1. Add 20 oz. of cut up Basic Clear MP Soap Base to a microwave-safe measuring cup. Heat in microwave until soap has completely melted.   
  2. Stir in 8 drops of Forest Green Liquid color. Add more if a darker shade is desired.
  3. Add 0.60 oz. Cucumber & Fresh Mint Fragrance Oil and gently stir. 
  4. Pour soap into four cavities of soap mold. Spritz the top with rubbing alcohol to break up any air bubbles that may appear. Let harden.
  5. Remove from mold and set aside.
  6. Repeat above steps using 20 oz. Basic White MP Soap Base, 0.60 oz. fragrance and 25 drops of color. (A white base will take much more color to achieve a darker shade.) Let soap harden.
  7. Unmold then wrap all bars in airtight packaging. 
  8. Label product accordingly.
To Use: Lather onto skin and rinse with warm water.
