Lava Lip Gloss

Go back in time with this groovy kit! Castor Oil, Glycerin,and Mica Powder create this eye-catching lava lamp effect in our glass roller ball bottle. This fun kit is easy to create & customize with different color combinations!  And as always, the lip gloss base is moisturizing and non-sticky.
 

Shopping List:

(2) 2 oz Castor Oil

(1) 2 oz MCT - Mid Chain Triglycerides Liquid

(1) 2 oz Glycerin - Natural

(1) 2.5 gm Bag NuTone Navy Mica Powder

(1) 2.5 gm Bag NuTone Magenta Mica Powder

(1) 2.5 gm Bag NuTone Purple Mica Powder

(3) 1 Piece Droppers (Pipettes) - Plastic

(3) 1 Piece Scoop - 0.15 ml (Micro Size)

(1) 12 Set 0.23 oz Glass Bottle Plastic Ball - White Cap

Recipe Ingredients:

• 3 oz. Castor Oil
• .35 oz. MCT - Mid Chain Triglycerides Liquid
• 2 oz. Glycerin - Natural
• 2-3 .15 ml Scoop NuTone Navy Mica Powder
• 2-3 .15 ml Scoop NuTone Magenta Mica Powder
• 2-3 .15 ml Scoop NuTone Purple Mica Powder

Equipment From Home:

• (1) Scale - Digital Display
• (1) Small Measuring Cup
• (3) Small Glass Bowl

Directions:

NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.

1. Add Castor Oil and MCT to a measuring cup and stir well.
2. Fill 12 bottles to 0.27 oz. by weight. (For easier filling, use plastic beaker to fill.)
3. Mix .6 oz of Glycerin with 2 microscoops of NuTone Navy Mica Powder. Mix .6oz of Glycerin with 2 scoops of NuTone Magenta Mica Powder and then mix .6oz of Glycerin with 2 scoops of Nutone Purple Mica Powder.
4. Fill a 3 droppers, one with each color and drop into the oil filled roller bottles, 0.5 to 1 ml for each bottle.  If using 2 or 3 colors in each bottle they will merge together after a bit.
5. Flavor Oil will break down the Glycerin color balls. 
6. Press reducer into bottle, then press plastic ball into reducer. Twist caps on bottles.
7. Label product accordingly.

To Use: Apply to lips to moisturize.
