Tie Dye Hibiscus MP Soap Recipe

About This Recipe:
This tie dye melt and pour soap looks beautifully intricate, but is easy to create! The tray mold makes 6 bars, each with their own unique design! Scented with our Sugared Papaya & Hibiscus fragrance that smells like a tropical getaway.


Shopping List:
(1) 2 lb Premium Ultra White MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray
(1) 2 fl. oz Sugared Papaya & Hibiscus Fragrance Oil 1028
(1) 5 ml Stained Glass Ocean Blue Liquid Color
(1) 5 ml Stained Glass Lemon Yellow Liquid Color
(1) 5 ml Stained Glass Violet Purple Liquid Color
(1) 1 Mold Hibiscus Soap Mold Tray (MW 150)
(1) 1 Piece Beaker - Natural Polypropylene
(1) 1 Each Mix & Pour Funnel Pitcher


Recipe Ingredients:
Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 24 oz. Premium Ultra White MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray
• 0.50 oz. Sugared Papaya & Hibiscus Fragrance Oil 1028
• 12-30 Drop(s) Stained Glass Ocean Blue Liquid Color
• 12-30 Drop(s) Stained Glass Lemon Yellow Liquid Color
• 12-30 Drop(s) Stained Glass Violet Purple Liquid Color


Equipment From Home:
• (1) Spatula
• (1) Microwave
• (1) Soap Cutter
• (1) Scale - Digital Display
• (1) Spray Bottle with Rubbing Alcohol - 99%
• (1) Cutting Mat

Directions:
  1. To a microwave-safe measuring cup, add 24 oz of cut up Premium Ultra White Soap Base. Heat in the microwave in 30 second intervals until soap is completely melted. 
  2. Add 0.5 oz of Fragrance Oil and mix well. 
  3. Place the plastic tray mold on a cookie sheet for stability. 
  4. Using any or all of the Stained Glass Liquid colors, randomly place drops of color into the bottom of the mold. Add 3-5 drops of each color per cavity. Try not to overlap colors.When the melted soap is about 150°F, carefully fill the mold. Be sure the soap is hot; cool soap will clump and cause spots, instead of a tie dye. 
  5. Spritz the top of the soap with alcohol to pop any bubbles and let soap completely harden. 
  6. Remove from mold and cut along grooves into 6 bars.
  7. Package & label as desired.
To Use: Lather onto wet skin and rinse with warm water.
