Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.
  1. Add 28.50 oz cut up Soap Base to a large, microwave-safe measuring cup.
  2. Microwave at 50% power in 1-minute increments until soap is melted.
  3. While soap melts, combine 0.38 oz Safflower Oil with 0.83 oz Bentonite Clay in a separate dish. Whisk until well blended.
  4. If desired, add up to 1% (0.30 oz) Fragrance Oil to melted soap base and mix.
  5. Stir in Clay/Oil mixture to melted soap base.
  6. Allow soap to cool to around 100° F before pouring. Continue stirring gently as the soap cools. Please note: some clay will inevitably sink to the bottom of each bar but pouring at a lower temperature helps suspend the clay throughout the bar.
  7. When the soap is ready to pour, give it a good final stir. Then fill each cavity, stirring before each pour.
  8. Spritz the tops of the bars with rubbing alcohol to pop any bubbles.
  9. Allow the soap to set up a little before transferring to the refrigerator to cool and harden fully (about 1 hour).
  10. Once soap is completely cool and fully hardened, remove from refrigerator and mold.
  11. Package as desired and label accordingly.
To Use: Lather onto wet skin. Rinse with warm water.
