There are a few different ways to use
Rose Hip Powder in cold process soap. We recommend a usage rate of 1 to 3 teaspoons per pound of soap.
Method 1: Add
Rose Hip Seed Powder to your traced soap. This produces a rustic look with added exfoliation properties.
Method 2: Carefully add
Rose Hip Seed Powder to your water/lye mixture. This allows the powder to better incorporate for a smoother look, but still with exfoliating properties.
Method 3: Steep the
Rose Hip Seed Powder with boiling water, strain the mixture with a coffee filter to remove the powder, allow water to cool, and then use this water in your cold process soap recipe. This method adds some of the properties of the powder including the color without the exfoliation.
We recommend testing in small batches to allow you to perfect your recipe. You may decide you prefer a little more powder for more exfoliation or less powder for less exfoliation.
