CC Lye Calculator
If you are interested in making soap from scratch (using lye) please feel free to use our FREE Lye Calculator. The CC Lye Calculator lets you play 'what if' with your soap recipe. You can easily change what oils are used and the formula percentages. The calculator will then compute the recipe and displaying the anticipated qualities of the soap.
You can repeatedly change the oils used and their percentages and the calculator will provide an accurate estimation of the soap bar qualities each time you click Compute. When your recipe is where you want it, click View/Print Recipe to get a detailed page for printing.
This calculator is not intended to be a complete lesson in making soap. If you are seeking information on how to make Lye Based Soap we recommend the book “The Soapmakers Companion”.
