This light and fluffy lotion will leave your skin moisturized and silky feeling. Ingredients of shea butter, coconut and safflower oils will nourish and protect the skin without any greasy feeling.

Recipe Ingredients:

Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 48 oz. Distilled Water (not included in kit)
• 5 oz. Safflower Oil
• 3.20 oz. Emulsifying Wax - Soft & Silky
• 3 oz. Coconut Oil - 76º Melt
• 2.55 oz. Stearic Acid
• 2 oz. Shea Butter - Ultra Refined
• 0.65 oz. Preservative - Sorbic Acid +2 PF
• 1 Tablespoon(s) Vitamin E Natural T-50
• 4 Teaspoon(s) Shimmering White Clouds Mica Powder
• 19 ml(s) Marshmallow Fragrance Oil 566
• 19 ml(s) Vanilla Color Stabilizer - Lotions - Washes

• (1) Stick Blender
• (1) Distilled Water

Directions:

NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.

To microwave-safe measuring cup, add 48 ounces of water. Set aside.
To second microwave-safe measuring cup, add stearic acid, emulsifying wax, safflower oil and coconut oil. Heat in microwave until waxes have completely melted.
Add the shea butter and gently stir to allow butter to soften and melt. If necessary, briefly heat in microwave until melted.
Place bowl of water into microwave and heat for 2 minutes. Slowly pour into hot oil/wax mixture.
Using a stick blender, begin to blend until all ingredients look well blended. Place bowl in refrigerator for 30-45 minutes.
Remove and stir to blend in thickened lotion. Stick blend until lotion is smooth.
In plastic beaker, mix fragrance oil with Vanilla Color Stabilizer. Let sit for 2 minutes then add to lotion.
Check temperature of lotion to be sure it is under 176°F. Add preservative and Vitamin E and blend until fully mixed.
Stir in Shimmering White Clouds Mica Powder by hand then briefly stick blend.
Fill bottles to 8 oz. by weight. If lotion is too thick to pour, use a pastry or zip close bag to pipe lotion into the bottles.
Let lotion cool completely before capping. Dip tubes will need to be trimmed to fit length of bottle.
Label product accordingly.

To Use: Apply to skin as often as desired.

	Staff Answer If the product has cooled completely and has not thickened up, you will need to remake it. Be sure your waxes have completely melted before adding the water. You can also place the lotion in the refrigerator/freezer to cool. This helps thicken the product so stick blending does not take as long.

"For years i have been using a lotion recipe that has you heat the oils and butters separately from the water. I heat the oils & waxes together. When completely melted, I then add the shea butter to melt naturally. After all oils and butters are completely melted, I then pour in my warm water, following the fragrance and preservative at an appropriate temperature. Is that technique fine when making this recipe?"

	"The recipe says it yields 64 oz. But you call for 6- 8 oz bottles, which is only 48 oz. I want to know if it yields 48 or 64 oz. because I want to divide to create 1- 8 oz. bottle."

	"I noticed this fragrance has 14% vanilla in it. Will the stabilizer keep it pure white? Usually with that much vanilla, even stabilizer doesn't keep it purely white. I just want to be sure because if I name my lotion Marshmallow fluff and it turns brown… That won't be a big seller :)"
