Technique 1: Controlling the Pour Temperature
Using this technique you will make your soap as usual using a plastic mixing container. We recommend a plastic container because it does not retain heat. Incorporate fragrance, color and additives as normal. Slowly stir the melted soap until the temperature reaches 105ºF.  At this time the soap will be fairly thick and the plastic container is just warm to touch (not hot). At this time pour the soap into the mold and the additives will remain suspended.
 
Technique 2: Rapid Cool Down
Using this technique you will make your soap as usual. When the soap reaches 132ºF you will incorporate your fragrance, color and additives. Pour into the mold and immediately place in the refrigerator. This will cause the soap to rapidly cool and keep the additives suspended. You will find this technique is most successful for cavity molds and not loaves of soap.
 
Blooper – 
We loved this blooper so much we wanted to share it. In making soap for this article we poured the oatmeal soap at 115ºF when it was not quite thick enough. The oatmeal sank to the bottom of the mold and made a beautiful top.
