Dry Shampoo for Light Hair

When life gets crazy and there is no time to wash your hair, shake this over your roots, brush out and you are ready to go. The selected powders help to absorb excess oils and give your hair a silky feel.  

(1) 1 lb Cornstarch - Pure

(2) 2 oz White Kaolin Clay

(1) 2 oz Tapioca Starch - Modified

(1) 2 oz Oatmeal - Colloidal

(1) 2 fl. oz Shampure* - EO & FO Blend 585

(5) 1 Set 05 oz Paper Powder Shaker Container - White

Recipe Ingredients:

• 13.20 oz. Cornstarch - Pure
• 4 oz. White Kaolin Clay
• 2 oz. Tapioca Starch - Modified
• 0.60 oz. Oatmeal - Colloidal
• 0.20 oz. Shampure* - EO & FO Blend 585

Equipment From Home:

• (1) Large Mixing Bowl
• (1) Small Mixing Bowl
• (1) Wire Whisk
• (1) Powder Sifter
• (1) Funnel

Directions:

NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron, workspace and sanitized equipment.

1. To large mixing bowl, add cornstarch and kaolin clay*. Blend with wire whisk until well incorporated.
2. To small bowl add tapioca starch. Slowly add fragrance** oil and mix well. This may cause the powder to clump. Add this to large mixing bowl and blend well. Using a powder sifter, sift the mixture to create a fine powder.
3. Using a funnel, fill each shaker with 4 oz. of product. Tap shaker to pack down powder.  Firmly apply plastic bottom to shaker base.
4. Label product accordingly. 
   *For light colored hair.  Use Slate Kaolin Clay for darker colored hair.

To Use: Shake over hair, working through to scalp to absorb oils.  Brush out.
