(2) 2 oz Emulsifying Wax - Traditional

(2) 2 oz Stearic Acid

(2) 2 oz Almond Butter Blend

(2) 2 oz Cranberry Butter Blend

(1) 2 fl. oz Pink Chiffon Fragrance Oil 750

(1) 1/2 oz Vitamin E Natural T-50

(1) 2 oz Preservative - Phenonip

(1) 1 Each Hairnets - 24 inch Disposable

(3) 1 Piece Droppers (Pipettes) - Plastic

(16) 1 Jars 04 oz Clear Basic Plastic Jar - 58/400

(16) 1 Piece 58/400 Black Ribbed Top Cap - F217 Liner

Recipe Ingredients:

Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 36 oz. Sugar - White Granulated Sugar
• 9.6 oz. Safflower Oil
• 8.2 oz. Sunflower Oil - Refined
• 3.2 oz. Emulsifying Wax - Traditional
• 3.2 oz. Stearic Acid
• 3.2 oz. Almond Butter Blend
• 3.2 oz. Cranberry Butter Blend
• 16 ml(s) Pink Chiffon Fragrance Oil 750
• 10 ml(s) Vitamin E Natural T-50
• 10 ml(s) Preservative - Phenonip

Equipment From Home:

• (1) Hand Mixer with Whisk Attachment
• (1) Metal Pot
• (1) Mixing Spoon
• (1) Stove Top or Double Boiler
• (1) Large Mixing Bowl
• (1) Scale - Digital Display
• (1) Refrigerator or Freezer

Directions:

NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.

On a burner over low heat or in a double boiler, heat the Emulsifying Wax, Stearic Acid, Butters and Oils until completely melted.
Take pan off the heat and add Vitamin E, fragrance oil and Phenonip. Stir well.
Place pan in fridge or freezer until the edges start to harden against the pan and a layer forms on top.
Using a hand mixer with a whisk attachment, whisk mixture until it turns creamy and opaque.
If necessary, put mixture into a larger bowl to mix in the sugar.
Add sugar and whisk until completely blended.
Fill jars to 4.20 oz. by weight. If any product remains, divide between the jars.
Label accordingly.

To Use: Massage scrub onto wet skin. Rinse off with warm water.

"Hello, I submitted a question quite a few days ago but never received a response. Not sure if maybe it didn't get posted but I'm re-posting it. Basically, I was told that I could use Otiphen instead of the Phenonip and I wanted to know if I would use 10 ml of Optiphen or if I should use a different amount. Also, I wanted to use Shea and Mango Butters oppose to Almond and Cranberry butters. Would I use 3.2 oz each of Shea and Mango or should I use a different amount. Please advise. "

	"Regarding the Vitamin E in this recipe, I understand that it is used as an antioxidant but I am using a long shelf life oil and do not want to use the Vitamin E (also it is cost prohibitive). 	Staff Answer This recipe is for an emulsified sugar scrub which is made from scratch rather than using a pre-made base. I would recommend following "Our Best Ever Sugar Scrub" recipe if you would like to use the Foaming Bath Whip. MP soap is added to make the final product a thicker consistency.

	Oh thank you very much! I took a look at Our Best Ever Sugar Scrub recipe as you recommended. Since the bath whip base already contains glycerin, why was it added again to the recipe? I'm a complete newbie at this so I just want to make sure

	Staff Answer It's just an extra additive for a little more moisture and to help it whip up more. If you prefer, it can be omitted though.

	So does emulsifying wax do the same as Stearic acid? Or is it just an agent to keep the oils from separating, not thickening up?

	Staff Answer Yes, emulsifying wax and stearic acid perform the same function. They both help thicken the product and help keep the ingredients from separating.
