Bentonite Clay is one of the best cosmetic clays because it is great for oily skin. Excellent oil absorbing properties. Bentonite Clay is a very soft clay. Great for clay face masks, body masks and facial soaps!

Directions:
DIRECTIONS: Incorporate into formula, amount as desired. Common use levels are 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon per pound of base. If making a face mask, the common use level is 50-75%. Test your final product to insure optimal performance.
STORAGE: Store in an airtight, cool, dark location. When stored properly, best used within 1 year from date of purchase. Keep out of reach from children and pets.
CAUTION: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and away from eyes. Do not inhale.

"Literally harden " |

COMMENTS: I sell clay mask though my business and wanted to add a new clay besides the normal clays. Very fine and smooth but once added to my emulsifier mix, it literally harden and I mean hard!!! My stick blender couldnt move. Had to throw away a whole batch and was disappointed as my other clays work well. Not sure if this product is heat sensitive or have to used a certain way however buyer beware!!!

COMMENTS: I simply can't do without this product. I love the high quality and affordable price. I use this in my facial masks and herbal conditioner recipes and it does add a smoothness to them. In my herbal conditioner it helps to cleanse build up from the hair an scalp and works wonderfully. I have not tried it in CP soap yet but I will do that when my just placed order arrives. I also want to make a mechanics soap and spa bars for feet.

COMMENTS: I use it almost everything! I've heard some say that CP soap can act funny when you add too much, but I used about 2 tbs dispersed in oil -added in to about 1.5 lbs of my soap mixture before pouring and had wonderful results! Great clay and great price-will be back!

COMMENTS: I purchased this for a bath bomb recipe and since I already use this in my face masks, I decided to buy. The quality of the product was exceptional. I did not really like the grainy feel that was present on the bottom of my tub the entire time, nor the extra attention I had to give to the light clay sludge line left. Doesn't mean the product itself had any issue, just that for me personally, I will not use in bath bombs. I can continue to use in face masks, bath satchels, soap (maybe?) etc. so you will definitely have a myriad of other uses with this product.

COMMENTS: I first bought this a few years ago and the only thing I made with it was homemade toothpaste, which I did really like it for. However, this past year I got into making clay masks/facials and discovered how wonderful this clay really is! I love how smooth this clay is. It does take a good amount of mixing, but it completely dissolves into distilled water and becomes almost creamy-like. I blend it with white willow bark and cucumber peel botanical extracts and some essential oils and love the tingle of this mask. It is such a great price that I can offer this at a very low price for customers too! I use the 6 oz low profile container that comes with a lid, and it fits, weight-wise, almost a good 12 ounces of the mask. I have already used over 5 pounds this fall and am glad I bought 25 pounds of it when it was on sale. I know I'll probably be buying 50 pounds of it next time! Thanks for providing such an awesome product at such a great price!

COMMENTS: I have a love/hate relationship with this clay! I love the skin benefits and the way it feels in the finished product. For those reasons, it can't be beat, however, getting it there is a pain. This clay is very difficult to disperse to get it to the point of use. It can be done but be ready to put in the work, it is well worth the effort. I have not yet tried this clay in my bombs, but that will be on my to do list.

I salvaged what I could and transferred what was still in the bag into a large ziploc. COMMENTS: Makes hard bombs. I occasionally replace Kaolin with Bentonite if I'm making a darker colored bath bomb, as this has a natural gray color which will darken light tones. I've also noticed it's denser than Kaolin so it'd be better to weigh this product rather than using measuring spoons

COMMENTS: One of our most popular clays. This pulls out heavy metals which is essential in our society where we are all constantly exposed to smog, nickel and more. This is a swelling clay so you'll need to add about twice as much water and let it set awhile longer for the clay to completely dispurse..it may tingle the skin and turn it a bit red, but the results are clearly noticable after the first use.

COMMENTS: I use bentonite clay as a fixiative in my lavender EO soap and I find that it truly does aid in the staying power of the fragrance. It turns my soap a lovely shade of smooth light grey and adds a delicious silkiness to the bar when in use.
I also use it in my shaving soap for an unbeatable slip that allows the razor to glide easily and closely over the skin. It's great to work with!

COMMENTS: I don't know why but to me good old kaolin is more oil absorbing than this. I have very oily skin and I made two same masks, one with kaolin and one with bentonite. The kaolin one was much more oil absorbing. I don't know why but same thing happens with soaps. The kaolin based soaps come out much more deep cleaning. As with kaolin and most clays if the fragrance is not very well behaved it rices and then the clumps form lye pockets. But that's a fragrance issue I guess. I love the grayish color and the tiny pieces that you can see in the soap from bentonite, they look so earthy

COMMENTS: I've used this bentonite clay for a facial soap I make. The clay adds a nice weight to the bar without getting grainy. A little bit of clay goes a long way, so it's economical. I like the way it absorbs excess oil. It does change the color of your soap just a bit. The same facial soap I make without the clay is a true white, but the soap with the clay has a somewhat gray tinge to it. It's not bad, but it's something to be aware of.

COMMENTS: I use this frequently in my cold process soaps. Does seem to help hold fragrance in the soap as well as a nice lather. The clay was a much darker grey than I had expected. It's similar to the color of sidewalk concrete. I did have some trouble getting certain colors to not turn a lighter shade than what I wanted but I expected this after seeing how dark the clay was when it arrived. I will continue to use this and would definatly recommend this product. As long as you understand how it will effect the end result of your product it's awesome!

COMMENTS: For a full facial,I mix some clay with vinegar, makes my skin sooo smooth. I also make a paste of just the clay for my stubborn pimples (leave on overnight) seems to help dry them up. For tooth powder I add some with baking soda & sea salt, Works great.

Made the mistake (and they do warn you on the site) of not dispersing it properly on the melt and pour and got tons of tiny balls of clay. So be careful and disperse it. I used glycerin for melt and pour (thouth maybe i should have used water) and oil for CP.

COMMENTS: I purchased some bentonite clay from a local organic market and used nothin a shaving bar and I was not satisfied with the texture of the clay. I decided to order some crafters choice clay and automatically knew it was going to be just as I wanted my shave bars to work. I made a sample batch of shave bars for my husband and he loved it. I have now made and sold numerous shave bars for men and women and the clays texture is smooth and not clumpy which makes it easier to mix in soap base. I will not order a different clay from here on out!!

COMMENTS: I`ve used Bentonite Clay in M & P for many uses of soap. But my favorites are my gardeners, mechanic soap and most of all my poison Ivy soap. Great for pulling out the toxins, and anti itch.
Excellent quality wouldn't want to be without it.

COMMENTS: It's very smooth, mixed pretty well in CP at trace although excelerated trace a little. So you need to be prepared to work fast to the mold. Otherwise it's wonderful, I will keep this on my shelf. Final loaf looks just like the color of the clay.
