Glycerin is humectant that absorbs moisture from the air and when diluted with water, can soften dry skin. You can use this product in soaps and lotions. We most commonly use Glycerin to incorporate powdered color in soaps!

Directions:
DIRECTIONS: Slowly stir into the water portion of your formulation. Common use levels are lotions and creams 2-5%. TIPS: This product is water soluble and requires an emulsifier to stir into oils. Test your final product to insure optimal performance. STORAGE: Store in an airtight, cool, dark location. When stored properly, best used within 1 year from date of purchase. CAUTION: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

COMMENTS: Glycerine as advertised, what more do I need to say? This is the best price I’ve seen, considering the cost of shipping. I already went through half of my last order making herbal extracts (to use in skin care) and facial products. It is especially great in facial masks, where stickiness of natural glycerine is not a problem. I also like to add in bath products for the extra humectant.

COMMENTS: Adding glycerin to my soaps allows me to roll and shape by hand. Cookie cutters cut thru a soap base with added glycerin with ease. It gives my soap more flexibility and my harder soaps do not crack when I add in glycerin. I can also pour at a cooler temp due to the glycerin added into the base mix.

COMMENTS: Used this glycerin in diluting my liquid soap and dispersing red oxide colorant. Diluting liquid soap in an 80/20 Water/Glycerin mix made a nice feeling liquid soap that lathered well. Dispersing red oxide and then storing the colorant in a jelly jar produced a great liquid colorant to add to soap. I recommend this product.

COMMENTS: I love that this glycerin is all natural and vegetable based. I use it primarily in my lotions and bubble bars for the extra moisturizing and humectant properties it gives to my products. It is also great for dispersing my powdered micas and colorants for my melt & pour soaps. I also plan to try adding a little glycerin to my cold process soaps, as I hear it is a great additive for added moisture.

COMMENTS: Used this first 1 lb bottle just for mixing natural powders and micas. It caused both to blend quickly and evenly. Then poured a little melt and pour in with the blended powder/mica and then into the rest of the melted base. Worked perfectly for even distribution. I was probably a little heavier handed than I needed to be with the glycerin cause I am already looking to order the larger size. But I don't mind that I'm heavy handed cause that extra glycerin is only going to make the soap better for the skin of whoever ends up using it. Yes, I know I probably need to be more careful with cost, but I think a quality product is the most important.

COMMENTS: I use this for blending powder colorants and it works great- quick to mix and no floating particles! I also like to add some extra to my MP bases when creating curls and handmade shapes to make them more pliable, and to add some moisture back into any remelts. Very moisturizing, no odor, and has never created any negative effects on lather or texture of the soap.

COMMENTS: I have to say I was surprised at the way this product improved my soap. I bought it specifically for mixing with the powdered colors and then realized it had a dual purpose. Not only did the powders mix so well with my detergent free soaps but the glycerin also added just a touch more moisturizing ability to some of the soaps that could be a bit drying, like the hemp oil. The soap didn't turn softer, nor have I had any trouble with sweating or melting. It's a nice extra touch that works out very well. I'm extremely pleased!

COMMENTS: I recently purchased this product in the 1 lb size. I used it in Melt & Pour soap. When I tried to add colorant (bar and powder) to my MP base, it was clumpy and left spots in the final product. When I used glycerin to premix colorants that issue was resolved. We now have perfectly colored soap. It was a breeze to use and a little goes a long way. I definitely plan on keeping this on hand! Thanks for another great product!

I initially purchased it from another supplier, but I found that wholesales price is better. Furthermore, after more research, I've found several other uses for it. COMMENTS: I mainly use this in cream and liquid soaps after my base has been cooked in a crockpot. I will say that I have added glycerin while cooking and it was fine cooking for long periods of time. This is a very thick product so a little goes a long way. Be careful when pouring because, in the gallon size, it is easy to over pour into your measuring spoon.

COMMENTS: I use this instead of water in my liquid soap paste. It cuts down on the time to trace and adds to the viscosity of liquid soaps. I also use it in lotions to give them a more creamy texture and smooth glide.
This is a high quality product, exactly as described, for the best price I've seen anywhere. I purchased the gallon size, which came in a jug that was also sealed in a bag (just in case, there wasn't any leaking) and cradled in packing peanuts.

"Great value on a versatile material" |
COMMENTS: I first ordered this on a whim and there it sat until inspiration struck. Perfect for lining plastic candy molds for cold process soap. Just the tiniest dab on my finger and smear it around so thin that there are no little beads of glycerin, my soaps are literally jumping out of the molds in about 3 days. Using the same molds "naked" results in waiting weeks for evaporation to do it's thing. Works just as beautifully in my silicone molds to assure no soap sticks in those fine details. Also use it in liquid soap for glycerin method, shaves a huge amount of time off the whole process versus water method. The high viscosity makes it hard to precisely pour from the 1.4lb bottle, but a disc cap to turn it into a squirt bottle works great for me and cuts down on messy drips.
