Our Botanical Facial Cleanser is a luxurious base that gently cleanses skin. Most Sulfate Free bases lack lather, but this base creates a rich lather that removes dirt and impurities while leaving skin hydrated without Sulfates! Formulated with mild ingredients for all skin types, including oily, dry and even sensitive makes it ideal and gentle enough for daily use.
An invigorating blend of natural Botanical Extracts will refresh and tone your skin. The thick, yet creamy texture allows you to add extra ingredients, such as botanical extracts, minerals, vitamins, carrier oils, and others at a rate up to 1%. Essential oils or Fragrance Oils can be added at .3 - .5%. Most customers use it uncolored, but it may be tinted using FD&C colorants.

Shelf Life: Minimum 1 year when stored in cool, dry place away from light.
Ingredient Benefits:
- Lavender Extract: Provides a soothing effect on the skin and used on a broad scale for the treatment of acne, damaged hair and oily skin while providing anti-bacterial, microbial, anti-fungal and antiseptic properties.
- Lemon Peel Extract: Shown to cleanse, smooth and lighten skin as well as treat acne. Its anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties can help clean the areas to which it is applied.
- Burdock Root Extract: Anti-bacterial, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory properties enable it to be used as a safe natural remedy for assorted skin conditions, including eczema and psoriasis.
- Rose Hip Extract: Rose Hips have anti-inflammatory properties as well as help combat the effects of the sun on skin due to their bioflavonoid content. Often used to improve the overall appearance of skin.
- Apple Fruit Extract: Provides impressive and long-lasting hydrating capabilities: 88.9% increase in skin hydration after only 30 minutes.The effects are long-lasting - even after six hours; hydration remained 32.5% higher than untreated skin.
- Cocamide MIPA: A pearlized system that produces a creamy foam and leaves a luxurious after-feel on the skin and hair. (MEA & DEA Free)

Directions:
This is a cold mix formula and heating is not recommended. Simply add your scent or additives directly to the base at room temp by stirring with a spatula or machine mixing. This product can be warmed to a max of 122F if you choose to add butters, though. A double boiler is recommended to prevent burning. Since the product is really thick, constant stirring would be needed to evenly distribute the heat. The color and consistency will change from white creamy to opaque/hazy thick gel and it could take a from a couple hours to a few days to go back to the creamy white consistency (if at all, depending on what was added). The addition of any ingredients will change the final product and testing in small batches is recommended.
This is a thick, creamy cleanser that is preferably packaged in a jar.

"Absolutely a Classy Facial Wash/Shaving lotion" |

COMMENTS: This 'Botanical Facial Cleanser' is thicker than I would like it to be. The consistency is that of a thick shaving cream, which to some is a plus. I would prefer a thinner option. But I have made this formula work by adding additional fluids to make the consistency I like. This facial cleanser is the best I have used for DIY products! I have customers who have sensitive skin and they have had no issues! I love the way my skin feels even one hour after use, my skin feels even more hydrated! How can that happen?! It is amazing! I love having the option to color it and using the essential oils or FOs of my choice. I have also used the jojoba beads to give it a little scrub feel and it is amazing! Thank you so much for this amazing formula!
I highly recommend it!
