Directions:
Usage Rate: 0.5% to 3% once the product has reached final temperature
Typically ChemThix DOE is the final step in the formulation. Use it when thickening is needed. Add it in at small increments, as little as 0.50 (1/2 percent by weight), then thoroughly blend and check thickness. If product is not at the desired thickness, add more, in the same amount as before, mix and check again. If you want to make the ChemThix a little easier to use, try gently heating it in a double boiler, or even in a hot water bath, to thin it slightly.
Some common products that may thin out your surfactant/ surfactant blends are: Essential oils, Fragrance oils, preservatives. If after adding any of these, you do not have the desired thickness, add ChemThix DOE surfactant thickener.

"Wow" |
COMMENTS: I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly it thickened my shower gel and laundry soap. However, I had to be cautious as I accidentally added too much, resulting in excessive thickness. Thankfully, I remedied it by adding a fragrance oil known for thinning products, achieving the perfect viscosity. Interestingly, one of the bottles seemed easier to pour, almost as if it had been heated, while the other remained unchanged despite consistent room temperature.
