Directions:

DIRECTIONS: Slowly stir into the water portion of your formulation.  Will not mix with most oils.  Common use levels are lotions 1-5% and deodorant gel 10-15%.

TIPS: This product is a humectant that improves the freeze/thaw stability of cosmetic formulations.  Test your final product to insure optimal performance. Protect clothing and work area when mixing.

STORAGE: Store in an airtight, cool, dark location. When stored properly, best used within 1 year from date of purchase.

CAUTION: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

"The best dpg" COMMENTS:  I’ve made my first set of incense and I can tell you this stuff is a dream come true. "Great as a Base for Roll-on Perfume" COMMENTS:  I love using This dipropylene glycol as a carrier base for my Roll-on perfumes. In my opinion it is one of the safest carrier bases around! It is odorless, non-volatile, and dissolves both polar and nonpolar fragrance oils with a little bit of mixing. It has yet to cloud when mixed, doesn't leave a film when applied. I don't plan on using anything else to make my perfume unless it needs to be spray-able, in which case I will simply add some Crafter's Choice Cyclomethicone NF to help lower the viscosity. This stuff is a modern-day perfumist's Dream! PRODUCT USED IN:   Body Sprays & Perfume THINGS I LIKE   THINGS I'D LIKE TO CHANGE • Non-Volatile, Non-Flammable • Clear, Odorless, Non-Toxic, Skin-Safe • Dissolves Water and Oil Based items • Nothing at all

Staff Answer You will need to do some research on this. In doing our own research, it was recommended to just use DPG and a fragrance oil for burning, mixed 1:1. Staff Answer We believe what you want to do is make a perfume oil using DPG and fragrance. DPG is a water-based product and will not mix well with fragrance oils. You would need to use either Polysorbate 20, 80 or our FO and EO Modifier to help the ingredients blend together. the amount of fragrance added depends on the IFTA guidelines for the fragrance you are using. Based on that, you would add that percentage for perfume to 8 oz. of base. Yes, you can use this for a potpourri oil and a burning oil. If you are using a fragrance oil, you should use 50% of a carrier oil (Dipropylene Glycol) and 50% fragrance. So if you were to make 2 oz of scented oil you would use 1 oz of fragrance oil and 1 oz of Dipropylene Glycol. If you are using Essential Oils the recipe would just about be all carrier oil with a few drops of essential oil. Staff Answer We have tested this product mixed 50/50 with a fragrance oil and found that the two products do not blend together. They will mix at the beginning but over time they will separate. For this reason our description states that the DPG does not mix with most oils. Staff Answer Yes, this can be. We have not tested it for that, but we have a review that has used this with their Body Spray/perfume with success. Per our directions, in cosmetics you can use 1-20%. Maybe start low, 1-5% and see if you like it in your body spray recipe. Staff Answer Our products are filled by weight rather than volume. One gallon bottle, or 128 fluid oz. would weigh 8.5 lbs.
