Versagel Lip Gloss Base

Common Name Ingredient Listing (FDA Approved):
Hydrogenated Polyisobutene (and) Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer (and) Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer.

Directions:
Add desired flavors or colorants and mix well. If adding additional oils, heat separately to 160°F then combine. Apply to lips as desired.

"works great" COMMENTS:  works great for me I add other oils if i color you decide to color the gloss I would not use mica as it tends to clump in the gloss over time and does not stay mixed other than that I have had a great experience with it i also added some TKB products to the gel and my costumers love my gloss I would be buying again PRODUCT USED IN:   Lip Care

"Absolutely terrible to work with!" COMMENTS:  I was so excited to try this gel to make lip gloss but it was absolutely terrible to work with! It took almost 15 minutes to get the gel to 151 degrees but I just could not get it to 160 degrees no matter what I did. It was extremely sticky and did not liquify at all. I put 15 drops of lip safe color in it anyway to see how it would look and it was pretty in the beaker but when I tried some, no color transfered to my lips. It was just clear gloss. Because it was so thick, I couldn't get it in the gloss tubes at all. Trying to clean up afterwards was an ordeal. Whatever this stuff is made of, it took several minutes of washing with Dawn PowerWash to get the gel off of my utensils. I threw the rest of the Versagel away. I will not purchase this again. "Glosses that Floss" COMMENTS:  I have purchased versagel for my lip glosses. The primary use I have found is for lip glosses and or lipsticks. This is a good product for moisturizing the lips, but it can be tricky to work with as I suggest be sure of the amounts of oils and flavor oils used in your products as well as the colorants as separation of products can occur and it makes for not so pretty displays in the tubes. Staff Answer To fill bottles, take a plastic dropper and cut off the top at the 1ml mark (2 inches from tip). Next, using a small piping bag or plastic food bag, cut a small tip off of one corner then insert the dropper through the hole. The dropper should fit snugly without pushing completely out of the hole. If necessary, make the hole slightly larger to fit the dropper. Add lip gloss to bag then insert plastic dropper into plastic bottle. Staff Answer We cannot say without knowing the actual size of the tubes but 1 lb. should give you at least 50 lip tubes. Heating the base helps smooth it out and become less sticky so it is easier to work with.
